The best way to catch a view of Cape Town without being on a plane or celebrating a skydive
is to climb up Table mountain! It offers magnificent views of the Cape and the Table Bay with
Robben Island and is one of the best spots to enjoy a sundowner. Alternatively you can climb up
Lions Head or drive up Signal Hill to catch good views.
Robben Island is famous for Nelson Mandela having spent half a lifetime as a prisoner of
the apartheid government there. Today Robben Island is a museum definitley worth a visit.
Tours are guided by former prisoners.
One of the routes to table mountain start at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the green
oasis of the city. Find more plants in this park than in whole Europe and enjoy them while
listening to an open air concert. They take place every Sunday afternoon during the summer
season. Many Capetonians visit the park to enjoy nature, music or simply the atmosphere
while having a picnic.
Visit the Castle of Good Hope, one of the great museums or pass by the Bo Kaap, which is
one of the oldest and definitely the most colourful part of Cape Town.
Enjoy shopping? At the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront you can definitely shop 'till you drop.
It also offers a lush atmosphere at the harbour and many options for great food. The ferries to
Robben Island also start from here.
If you are tired of shopping, just take a short drive to the beaches of the city at Camps Bay
or Clifton to relax under the African sun and to enjoy a cocktail at one of the hip Bars at
the promenade.
A trip to the Cape of Good Hope is top of the list. On your way to the Cape pass by Boulders
Beach, where hundreds of African penguins breed, swim and simply enjoy their lives. Very cute!
At the Cape of Good Hope National Park you meet the first baboons - attention they are dangerous -
and some more African animals like ostriches or mountain zebras.
On your way back to Cape Town pass Hout Bay . It´s highly recommended to spend some money at
the toll gate of the Chapman's Peak Drive - one of the most famous road in the world - to catch
fabulous views of the coast and the sea.
The best wines of South Africa grow in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek. The area is
simply known as the Winelands. Enjoy tastings or simply visit in the great atmosphere of
old wine estates in historic towns surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Hermanus is the place to be for whale watching! Every year from July to November the
Southern Right Whales come here to breed and raise their cubs. This all just a stone
throw off the beach. Get out your camera!
The private game reserve of Aquila is situated in the Cederberg Mountains, a two hours drive
from Cape Town. In the beautiful scenery watch giraffes, rhinos, lions, antelopes or buffalos
just to name a few. A perfect option for those who want to do a safari but lack time to visit
the Kruger Park.
Apart from game viewing the Cederbergs have much more to offer. It is a hikers and rockclimbers
paradise. Go canoeing or skydive at the Dropzone of Citrusdal! The Dropzone is situated in a
beautiful valley surrounded by mountains which make skydiving different and even more exciting.
Clanwilliam is a small town in the area and the home of the well known Rooibos tea, which
indigenously only grows here.
If you have enough time to explore the rest of South(ern) Africa, we can arrange trips to the
Garden Route, the Kruger National Park or to Namibia and other bordering countries. All
activities can be arranged by us, just let us know!
